The Perfect Life
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Revelation 21:4

Mortal life has many problems
Highest hopes can soon go wrong
But another day is coming
Sweeter than the sweetest song

John was on the isle of Patmos
When he saw the vision bright
God revealed to His apostle
Scenes of joy and sheer delight

He was shown the holy city
Coming down from realms above
As a bride adorned and ready
For the husband of her love

God will dwell among His people
He shall wipe away all tears
There shall be no death or crying
Nothing causing pain or fears

Those who live within that city
Written in the Book of Life
Are the ones that God has chosen
As the Bridegroom’s virgin-wife

They shall see His face before them
On their foreheads bear His name
Reign with him in matchless glory
Endless ages, without blame

So a perfect life is waiting
For the saints at heaven’s door.
Peace and joy forever after;
Happiness for evermore

Our Blessed Hope
Behold, I show you a mystery;
We shall not all sleep,
1 Corinthians 15:51

If we believe that Jesus died
And from the grave arose
So God will bring along with Him
Those loved ones in repose

For this we say by holy word
That we who still remain
Shall not precede the sleeping ones
When Jesus comes again

The Lord will come amid the clouds
Descending with a shout
The archangel will give a cry
The trumpet will blare out

And so the dead in Jesus Christ
Will be the first to rise
Then we too shall be taken up
To meet Him in the skies

And thus we shall be with the Lord
For all eternity
So let us share this precious truth
With every saint we see

Resurrection
But now is Christ risen from the dead,
and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
1 Corinthians 15:20

Now this is the word both historic and true
Concerning the gospel I preached unto you
By which you are saved and in which you remain
Unless, after preaching, your faith is in vain

Because I delivered to you first of all
That which I received as the primary call
Christ died for our sins as the Scriptures have said
And that He was buried and rose from the dead

And that He was seen in His new risen state
By Peter and those who had known Him of late
By those He had chosen to be by His side
And carry the news to the world far and wide

Now if Christ is preached that He rose from the tomb
How is it you say and by this you presume
That no resurrection has yet entered in
If that is the case you are still in your sin

But now is Christ risen, our Saviour and Chief
The firstfruits of those who have died in belief
For since by one sin came the sentence it bore
So through resurrection came life evermore

For just as in Adam all die it is true
In Christ we are quickened, created anew
But someone will ask, How do mortals revive
And what are the bodies of those who survive

Now God gives a body to each as He wills
The seed to its own when it dies in the hills
All flesh is distinguished, not paired in the least
One kind is of human, another of beast

Celestial bodies and those of the earth
Have differing glories imparted at birth
The glory inherent in sun or in star
Is seen in the heavens albeit afar

So also is that which is raised from the dead
The body is sown in corruption inbred
The natural body returns to the dust
The spiritual body is born out of trust

And as we inherit the image of man
Who fell into sin when the ages began
So shall we inherit the image of One
Who purchased salvation when sin was undone

A truth has been hidden but now is declared
Concerning the future of which we have shared
We shall not be sleeping but we shall be changed
A wonderful hope which the Lord has arranged

The trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised
Enclosed in new bodies divinely appraised
And we shall be changed from this temporal state
And put on the bodies we keenly await

And then shall that saying be brought into light
Unknown to the sceptics who dwell in the night
O Death and O Hades, wherein is thy sting
The triumph of Christ is the anthem we sing

Your Future
Surely I come quickly. Amen.
Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Revelation 22:20

Pilgrims are praying; the vigil they keep
More as the Advent draws near
Mortals are straying like wandering sheep
Close by the valley of fear

While man prepares for his journeys in space
Nations are arming for war
Scripture declares to the whole human race
Judgment is now at the door

Moments are fleeting as time passes by
Endless perdition awaits
Men are repeating their desolate cry
Death stands below at the gates

Still goes the message resounding and clear
Just as it ever was told
Not as a presage of something to fear
But as the gospel of old

God has extended His love through His Son
Judgment on sin is declared
Time is expended, the work has been done
Trust and your soul will be spared

This Passing Earth
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:
for the first heaven and the first earth
were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Revelation 21:1

The Scriptures give a portraiture
Of fundamental stages
The earth will be subjected to
Throughout the passing ages
Before it was inhabited
By human generations
It could have been the dwelling place
Of ethereal creations

The Bible tells of precious stones
Where Eden was located
The habitat of cherubim
And angels so related
There is explicit reference
That warfare had erupted
And numbers of the angel host
Had then become corrupted

The next declared environment
Was done by renovation
Because the said rebellion
Had wrought such devastation
And so upon successive days
For six must be completed
The earth would be in readiness
For life which Adam greeted

This wonderful environment
With all that it included
Was excellent in every way
Till arrogance intruded
Though earth retained its comeliness
And good climatic features
There was a changed relationship
With God and with His creatures

The earth assumed another form
Through global inundation
The wickedness of humankind
Had gone to saturation
So when the flood had soaked away
The torrents being lifted
The earth received a massive change
Geographies were shifted

The next stage in its history
Will come when wars have ended
The earth will be restored again
As first it was intended
A thousand years of perfect rule
Has yet to run its courses
When everyone will have a share
In all the earth’s resources

Because this earth is temporal
And therefore not eternal
A judgment day is prophesied
Inclusive and infernal
A new earth will eventuate
Amid the heaven’s glory
A place for us to contemplate
But that’s another story

Beyond the Sunset
The heavens declare the glory of God;
and the firmament showeth His handiwork.
Psalm 19:1

There is beauty in the dawning
There is warmth beneath the sun
We enjoy the rolling surf upon the beach
Yet with every given morning
Or when any day is done
There is Someone who is never out of reach

All the natural creation
Which comprises land and sea
Is but temporal and has to pass away
Yet the blessing of salvation
Offered now to you and me
Will transport us to an everlasting day

Jesus Christ is our Creator
He is God the only Son
He is Lord of all the rulers of the earth
He is now the Mediator
Of the victory He won
Which has guaranteed our newly given birth

As we make our daily choices
For our future destiny
We are travelling to glory or to shame
In this world are many voices
Which can gain the mastery
Only Jesus is our refuge from the flame

Fear and Judgment
And fear not them which kill the body,
but are not able to kill the soul:
but rather fear Him which is able to
destroy both soul and body in hell.
Matthew 10:28

Fear is a topic we often ignore
Keeping it out of our thinking
Yet there are times when it comes to the fore
As when a lifeboat is sinking

God has put into our conscience and mind
Triggers to wake and alarm us
Each has a role that is clear and defined
Warning of things that could harm us

Children are taught at a delicate age
Not to give favour to strangers
Nor to go near to an animal’s cage
Fraught with its possible dangers

Judgment is never a popular word
Heard in polite conversations
Some may assert it is rather absurd
Subject to men’s aberrations

Yet if we study the Bible at all
Noting its stark revelation
Judgment has followed because of the Fall
Sealing our need of salvation

Judgment is certain as day follows night
Vested in Him who has sworn it
For the believer it harbours no fright
Jesus the Savour has borne it

The Second Advent
Behold, He cometh with clouds.
Revelation 1:7

The King is returning
While nations are churning
To set up His absolute rule
But if we are fearing
The hope that is nearing
We may be considered a fool

There’s adequate warning
That judgment is dawning
When signs and disasters occur
Political actions
Are merely distractions
As most of the speeches infer

The promises waited
Will happen as stated
Just as they have done in the past
As prophets have spoken
The world will be woken
By armies the Lord has amassed

Though nations are warring
And troubles are soaring
They must run their course to the end
But God’s intervention
Will finish the tension
On that we can truly depend

New Heavens and a New Earth
Nevertheless we, according to His promise,
look for new heavens and a new earth,
wherein dwelleth righteousness.
2 Peter 3:13

As the Scriptures have foretold
In epistles clear and bold
This creation that we see has got its limits
For this universal scene
Once magnificent and clean
Has been tarnished by the sin of men and spirits

There is yet a coming day
When the earth will pass away
And the heavens will dissolve with burning fire
In eternity will dwell
Those inhabitants of hell
Who did not embrace the God of all desire

But a realm of great delight
Will enclose the sons of light
Who responded to the Lord of their salvation
For the ultimate repose
Of the children whom He chose
Is a place that is beyond imagination

When the earth and heavens too
Are created yet anew
There will nevermore be anything intrusive
Everything will harmonise
In that lasting paradise
For the will of God is done by all, inclusive

Perfect Rest
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28

When God created everything
And time itself began
It could have been more recent than we think
The scientists are wondering
As formula they scan
If something has escaped them as they blink

The Bible does not contemplate
The ages of the stars
Or when the earth was given its debut
We may suggest or speculate
That life exists on Mars
But still it’s not the place for me and you

We have a gracious heritage
Inherited in time
It comes to us from God through every test
Preserved for us on every page
In prophecy or rhyme
In Jesus Christ the Lord is perfect rest

Our Eternal Home
Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men.
Revelation 21:3

Now the Scriptures clearly say
That the earth will pass away
And the elements will melt with fervent heat
Then a New Jerusalem
Like a many-coloured gem
Will be home for many pilgrims as they meet

God will wipe away all tears
Shed in sorrow through the years
And the crying and the pain will be no more
For He maketh all things new
As His prophecy is true
So our hearts are longing for that distant shore

There a river crystal clear
From a throne that we revere
Will be flowing with the fruit trees either side
There shall no more be a curse
Nor the sin that we rehearse
For the ransomed of the Lord will there abide

When the ages yet to be
Are a true reality
There will yet be many more without an end
For this sure eternal home
Is for any who will come
And let Jesus be their Saviour and their Friend

Our Only Hope
…Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Colossians 1:27

The word of Jehovah is living and keen
The only true knowledge that mortals can glean
It traces the record of why we are here
And where we are going is perfectly clear

Awareness of God is a general fact
Creation itself is a wonderful act
The moral convictions we carry within
Cannot lift the burden of personal sin

For having awareness is never the whole
We need something more for the health of our soul
For since Adam’s fall we are spiritually dead
And that is the realm where the gospel must tread

Our natural thinking can hardly perceive
Why Christians are ransomed because they believe
In fact they have taken the Scriptural word
And made it the basis for all they have heard

When sin disconnected our spirit and mind
It also disrupted the whole of mankind
We lack the dimension by natural birth
Of seeing the reason for being on earth

The road that we travel will have its reward
The wages of sin or the gift of the Lord
The door has been opened; the veil has been rent
The way is the Cross where the Victim was sent

The Victim was Christ as a Lamb without spot
He took all the judgment that we should have got
So as He was judged for the whole human race,
His work is the issue we mortals must face

This issue confronts us as long as we breathe
No sin can condemn us; no work can relieve
If Christ is our Saviour the battle is won
If He is not with us we shall be undone

No sin will be mentioned when judgment is due
It will be our work that is brought into view
For only the work of our Lord on the Cross
Determines our safety or settles our loss

The Day of the LORD
The great day of the LORD is near,
it is near, and hasteth greatly…
Zephaniah 1:14

The day of the LORD is a prospect in store
When judgment will come such as never before
The wrongs will be righted
The crooked made straight
A world that is blighted will reach a new state

The days are unfolding as tensions increase
When every news item is crying for peace
Yet each innovation
That man has produced
Has not reached the station where sin is reduced

It dwells in our nature for so we are born
Aspiring for peace is a prospect forlorn
It comes from Messiah
Who hung on a tree
A sacrifice higher than any degree

In that He is risen the question remains
Shall we take His pardon or stay in our chains
The door is wide open
The Saviour is true
As Jesus has spoken so what shall we do

Before that day comes when the King will return
A man will emerge charismatic and stern
A person with standing
In sight of the world
Intent and commanding as boasting is hurled

The love of the truth is the issue today
Our need of salvation will not go away
The light is still shining
The welcome awaits
Let’s quit our reclining and enter those gates

Crowns
Know ye not that they which run in a race
run all, but one receiveth the prize?
Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown;
but we an incorruptible.
1 Corinthians 9:24, 25

Now royalty with bearing
Have crowns upon their head
The symbol they are wearing
Remains till they are dead

Yet crowns will be awarded
To common people too
With gifts they have not hoarded
But shared in all they do

A crown of life is mentioned
For doing as we’re told
For we are never pensioned
When in the Saviour’s fold

A special crown is waiting
For shepherds of the flock
As they are elevating
The Saviour and the Rock

The humble and the fearing
Who serve with faithfulness
Will at the Lord’s appearing
Be crowned with righteousness

A crown of joy abounding
Is shared by everyone
Who with their praise resounding
Rejoice in God the Son

Hope
For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope:
for what  a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
But if we hope for that we see not, then
do we with patience wait for  it.
Romans 8:24, 25

We hope for a better tomorrow
Yet fail to give thanks for today
It’s hard to be joyful in sorrow
Despite what the comforters say

Yet hope has a twofold direction
Depending on what it is set
Our hope is in Christ’s resurrection
Not merely on what we may get

We need a more sure definition
Than something that may not come true
A clear and a real recognition
That judgment will surely ensue

The death that precedes this appointment
Is just a transition for all
If we have no life or anointment
It means we’ve rejected God’s call

But if we have shared His creation
As creatures with conscience within
Yet still have despised His salvation
There’s no more a Saviour from sin

Yet we can have hope that is certain
As sure as a God that is true
For He has now parted the curtain
That all who believe may go through

Prepare to Meet Thy God
I have overthrown some of you...
yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
Amos 4:11

The day is drawing nearer
As prophecy is clearer
The Lord will soon be coming for His own
Then all their works production
For credit or destruction
Will be assessed by Jesus Christ alone

The Saviour they have followed
Whose precious name is hallowed
Has favoured them according to His will
His work is manifested
His word is true and tested
Requiring faith-obedience unto skill

Eternity is coming
The honey bees are humming
Collecting up the nectar from the blooms
Our service truly rendered
Will one day be commended
As death approaches and the Judgment looms

The Day of God
For the day of vengeance is in mine heart,
and the year of my redeemed is come.
Isaiah 63:4

The Day of the Lord, as the Scriptures affirm
Will herald a season of terror
A day as defined in the use of the term
When many are blinded by error
It stems from the time when a treaty is signed
A treaty of guile and deception
A time when the name of our God is maligned
By those with a crooked perception

The Day of the Lord is a truth prophesied
And known by the ancient believers
As Enoch of old in the warning he cried
That no one should thereby deceive us
The Lord, He will come with His holy ones too
To execute judgment with fury
Against the ungodly and all that they do
For He is both judge and the jury

The Day of the Lord will extend for a time
A thousand years in its duration
With nature enjoying a peaceable clime
And wars having ceased their vexation
The Saviour Himself and His kingdom will rule
With justice and order prevailing
The road will be hard for the rogue or the fool
For peace will extend without failing

The Future
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt,
and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Matthew 6:20

We all are investing
In what lies ahead
No statement of God could be surer
If we are not resting
In what He has said
We shall be eternally poorer

The future before us
Is far out of sight
For no one is able to see it
There will be a chorus
Attuned to the Light
The Scriptures foretell and decree it

The future is either
A void or a goal
Depending on choices we’re making
The saint or believer
Has trusted his soul
To One who has brought his awaking

Prophecy
For the prophecy came not by the will of man:
but holy men of God spake
as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
2 Peter 1:21

Prophecy as we can see
Is what has been foretold
So we put our trust in revelation
It will be a certainty
As from the days of old
Bringing with it hope and consolation

At the end we can’t depend
On myths or crystal balls
They are just a dark imagination
Death is met when time is set
Before the judgment halls
As we enter joy or condemnation

It is not a happy lot
To talk about such things
Yet we must be honest with our neighbours
We must choose the gospel news
Before the night bell rings
Trust in Christ and cease from all our labours

The Day of Christ
That ye may approve things that are excellent;
that ye may be sincere and without offence
till the day of Christ.
Philippians 1:10

The Day of Christ as we have read
Will be a raising of the dead
The dead in Christ will rise up first
Just as the Scriptures have rehearsed
Then those alive who still remain
Will rise up from this earth’s domain

The Day of Christ was first revealed
To those who had their sickness healed
A sickness that we all possess
Not in our body, nonetheless
The soul is where the trouble lies
Though not exposed to human eyes

We shall not stay upon this earth
If we have had a second birth
For in the twinkling of an eye
We shall be changed and never die
Our bodies must obtain a form
Distinctive from their earthly norm

The Day of Christ will be a day
When all our troubles pass away
The sicknesses will be no more
We’ll leave our garments at the door
As there will be a garment bright
For all the children of the light

The Ultimate
For the preaching of the cross
is to them that perish foolishness;
1 Corinthians 1:18

Let us take a look at the Saviour’s cross
Where He hung alone to redeem our loss
History is built on that perfect deed
Pleasing unto God, meeting all our need

It was so designed ere the world began
Having been the aim of the Father’s plan
Prophesied in full in the sacred book
Telling how the foe would be deadly struck

Enmity and sin must be put to flight
Spiritual and real as the endless night
It demanded blood of a victim shed
So the Lord remained till He bowed His head

Enemies remain for the human race
Everything resisting the gift of grace
No one can deny they were born in sin
That is when the death pangs of hell begin

Let us be assured there is hope in sight
In the gospel news there is life and light
Look unto the cross with a sure belief
Nevermore will death be a source of grief

The Parousia
Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Revelation 22:20

He is coming as He said
When He resurrects the dead
Who have passed away with faith in their Redeemer
He is coming any day
Taking all His bride away
Then the saints of God must stand before the Bema

He will come a second time
To ignore it is a crime
It will happen just the way it is predicted
He is coming to the mount
Where He gave a good account
As the Spirit has so openly depicted

He is coming forth in power
At the designated hour
With a rulership of justice on the nations
But the nation Israel
Will be like a citadel
As it shines throughout the earth for generations

He is coming with His train
With a glorious refrain
And the earth will be illumined with His glory
All the violence will cease
In an atmosphere of peace
As He writes another chapter of His story

Harvest Time
Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor,
and gather his wheat into the garner;
but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
Matthew 3:12

The Bible is here to be read
Like food to the hungry is fed
Describing creation
With much celebration
As perfectly good as God said

It covers the time set for man
For God has an overall plan
He knows our decisions
Our faults and divisions
The evil before it began

He promised to give us new life
And bring to an end all the strife
The only condition
Is human volition
Our choice, as it cuts like a knife

We all have established a path
From birth we are under God’s wrath
The harvest is nearing
With time disappearing
Shall we be the wheat or the chaff

Our Destiny
Having predestinated us unto the adoption
of children by Jesus Christ to himself,
according to the good pleasure of his will,
Ephesians 1:5

The angels were watching in wonder
As Jesus the Saviour was born
He came not with splendour or thunder
But just as the Scriptures had sworn

The wise men were duly alerted
They travelled across from the east
Their journey back home was diverted
For Satan’s desire had not ceased

The Lord grew in wisdom and standing
In favour with God and with man
He did what the law was commanding
There is not another who can

His baptism marked the beginning
The testing was set in His path
Intent on the race He was winning
Although it would meet with God’s wrath

A sacrifice once undertaken
Would be the requirement He’d pay
The portals of hell would be shaken
And sinners made free on that day

The Saviour above who is seated
With glory and honour complete
Will come now His foes are defeated
For Satan is under His feet

He’s coming for those who’ve believed Him
Who, having no claim of their own
Are waiting, now having received Him
To meet at His glorious throne

End Time
So teach us to number our days.
Psalm 90:12

Our lives have a daily routine
Although we are not a machine
There is yet a portion
Regarded with caution
Concerning the truth we have seen

We dwell for a limited stay
Till earth-life has vanished away
On any occasion
By thought or persuasion
We settle accounts for a day

The day is the judgment we face
A day that is bound in God’s grace
The issue outstanding
That He is demanding
Is Jesus the One we embrace?

Horizons
Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have
entered into the heart of man, the things
which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1 Corinthians 2:9

Do we ever stop to wonder
At the glory of the stars
Or whoever taught the nightingale to sing
When we hear the crashing thunder
Of the waves against the bars
Does it strike us as a most impressive thing

Do we contemplate the splendour
Of the mighty universe
Where the darkness has been banished from the light
Or this life that is so slender
Till it’s time to call the hearse
And our souls go on a pathway out of sight

Do we often take for granted
There will always be the rain
Or the water springs will never cease to flow
Has our thinking got so slanted
And our reckoning so vain
That we only dwell on matters here below

There is yet a coming era
Incomparable by far
Unto any we experience or feel
With horizons that are clearer
Than the distance to a star
And a glory that is permanent and real

We await a new horizon
Reaching out beyond the sky
Where the Lord has gone before us to His throne
For the One we keep our eyes on
Who is imminent and nigh
Will be coming soon to resurrect His own

It depends upon His manner
For He never tells a lie
And His work upon the Cross has made it so
For His glory is the banner
That can never ever die
And His Spirit is the surety we know

Bliss or the Abyss
Come unto Me, all you who labour
and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28

God, at creation
Has fashioned our soul
With its significant features
As on probation
Our life has a goal
Even as far as it reaches

We have a vacuum
That needs to be filled
Duly controlled by volition
Just like a back room
That’s rented or billed
Having a special position

What we are saying
In essence is this
God has a plan we can enter
It is portraying
Impeccable bliss
With God Himself at the centre

Jesus was taken
And nailed to a tree
Bearing the judgment we merit
Wholly forsaken
His death made us free
His righteousness we inherit

Now He is risen
And lives evermore
Leaving His clear invitation
We stay in prison
Or live on that shore
Hell-bound or having salvation

Heaven
To an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled
and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,
1 Peter 1:4

As Jesus secured our salvation
Foreshadowed before the Creation
He will come again
To rule His domain
Endowed with much glorification

There will be a loud acclamation
From saints having regeneration
Who know that the Lord
Was true to His word
The scriptures affirming their station

There only remains resurrection
For saints it will be their perfection
For others who’ve spurned
God’s love they have learned
Expelled amid shame and dejection

Your Appointment
And as it is appointed unto man once to die,
but after this the judgment.
Hebrews 9:27

We all have to die
As time passes by
A fact we have gathered while growing
The point that we make
The matter at stake
Is where and to what are we going

The Bible is clear
Let’s give it an ear
We are not as we were created
The cardinal Fall
Has passed down to all
We need to be regenerated

We need a new birth
That’s not from the earth
As Jesus was telling His hearer
Yet not from the womb
As some may assume
But from our Lord God which is dearer

We cannot deny
That we have to die
The prospect for saints is uplifting
But if we don’t heed
What God has decreed
Then hell will be where we are drifting

Foresight
Behold the Lamb of God
who takes away the sin of the world!
John 1:29

There is a way of providence
That always is successful
It does not come by commonsense
Although it may be stressful

It centres on our mode of thought
As God-dependent creatures
We do not do the things we ought
As His commandments teach us

His love for us can never wane
Although we oft ignore it
He speaks to us through every pain
And always does deplore it

We cannot heal our mental state
From humanistic sources
Or standards that degenerate
By use of carnal forces

We must in truth and honesty
Confess our degradation
It is a woeful tragedy
That strikes at every nation

A providential Substitute
Has borne our sins and sorrow
And those who trust Him resolute
Will meet a glad tomorrow

Tomorrow
…and the Word was God.
John 1:1

Age-long darkness once foretold
Now looks on as days unfold
Days are dawning near in sight
There to put all fears to flight

Haste the trumpet, speed the call
End the darkness, clear the pall
Waken to a dream fulfilled
Ogre spirits now are stilled

Rise and greet the coming day
Don’t be fearful, don’t delay
When the Lord our God appears
Ageing seals our bygone years

So with judgment left behind
Grace affords our peace of mind
Open prospects laid in store
Dwelling safe for evermore

Resurrection
For as in Adam all die,
even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1 Corinthians 15:22

Everyone receives their resurrection
In a body case that cannot die
It is not a matter of correction
It will be applied to you and I

Resurrection first belonged to Jesus
He has pride of place before us all
In His ministry He daily feeds us
Till the voice is heard, the final call

Resurrected saints will live forever
As the final stage of what precedes
As they meet in Paradise together
Having been rewarded for their deeds

Unbelievers also get their portion
Counterparts to those who have believed
It is not the time for a precaution
Unbelievers cannot be reprieved

Resurrection splits the race forever
Their allotted places have been set
There is no revival or endeavour
To reverse the portion that we get

Kingdoms
…Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.
…the beginning of his kingdom was Babel,
Genesis 10:9, 10

The kingdoms of natural man
Have always a limited span
Their ways are ill-founded
On laws wrongly grounded
Till they reach the term they have ran

The kingdom of God is unique
For such is the language we speak
It will be outstanding
As truth is demanding
A home for the lame and the weak

The first human kingdom we read
Was not of reputable deed
The cities like Babel
Had crimes that unravel
For pride was their function and creed

The kingdom of Christ will prevail
As promises true cannot fail
His glory appearing
We wait without fearing
Like goodness that came through the veil

Destination
And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
Luke 3:6

As mortals we stay
Not heeding the way
Determined by royal decree
Awareness and sight
Lulled deep in the night
Lasts only till we bend the knee

For those with a bind
Likeminded not blind
Estrangement is what they must shun
Sufficient for all
Held out since the fall
Salvation is Christ once begun

He only the key
Accounting us free
Long-lasting, abundant and fair
Let any complaint
Setback or restraint
Escape with all doubt or despair

Each soul faces death
Till there is no breath
Help nowhere is found among men
Each soul that departs
Should speak to our hearts
Afflicted if not born again

Let’s now be concise
Vain words are like ice
Attractive but lacking in whole
There’s only one path
Instead of God’s wrath
One gospel for each living soul

Now this is the hour
Outstanding in power
Fulfilling, sustaining, engraved
God’s kingdom is great
O come, don’t be late
Decide for the Lord and be saved
